April Project Update

<!–Works on Great Barrier Reef Arena continue….

Design is making smooth progress – 
 

Design:

  • Landscape Op Works Lodged
  • Finishes review to be undertaken mid-May

 

  • Structural is complete
  • Architectural are 90% complete – with final client changes to be undertaken
  • Architectural Internal finishes and detailing well underway
  • Electrical drawings now received and issued for Construction

After a wet month in April combined with multiple public holidays, works have continued to progress on site as much as possible.

The footings have continued, ready to accept the structural steel for the seating. Drainage has been installed and inspected for the amenities and change rooms on the lower level.

Bulk earthworks have almost been completed as the Lamb St entry and bus turnaround has been brought up to level. Civil stormwater reticulation is underway throughout the site along with the electrical and communication conduit reticulation beginning.
Refurbishment and alternations works to existing changerooms are underway with the building get a refresh prior to commencement of local AFL.

SErgon padmount transformer works have commenced in April with lead in conduits and culvert works completed awaiting the new transformer from Ergon.

 

Upcoming Works for May include:

 

  • In-ground footings to continue
  • Civil iInfrastructure works (Stormwater)
  • Blockwork
  • Ground slabs to amenities
  • Existing changeroom refurbishment to commence
  • New AFL Posts to Field 1
  • Screw Piles to coaches box and new seating to chairman’s lounge
  • Structural steel for grandstand seating

April Project Update

March Project Update

Works continued in March with the large footings beams to the grandstand area being poured up to Gridline 11. Footings and ground slabs will continue to progress into April.

February Project Update

With February a short month, and amongst recent wet weather, the piling platform works are now complete with the piling works wrapping up this week. The piling rig will leave site Monday putting an end to the noisiest portion of works on the project.

The team are back on deck after the Christmas New Year break.

Design is still progressing, whilst on the ground, progress has been made on the piling platform and early civil works, with the driven piling works to commence next week.
