March Project Update

<!–Works on Great Barrier Reef Arena continue….

Design is making smooth progress – 

 

  • Structural is complete
  • Architectural are 90% complete – with final client changes to be undertaken
  • Architectural Internal finishes and detailing well underway
  • Electrical drawings now received and issued for Construction

Works continued in March with the large footings beams to the grandstand area being poured up to Gridline 11. Footings and ground slabs will continue to progress into April.

The sewer drainage works have been completed and inspected for the amenities in preparation for footings to continue. Sewer works to Juliet Street have also been completed and backfilled. The existing house to be removed on Juliet Street has been vacated and disconnected in preparation for removal in early April..

Civil works are progressing well with bulk earthworks continuing and civil infrastructure items arriving on site ready to commence stormwater works over the coming weeks.
The Lighting Tower change-over was completed with the old lighting control box and associated in ground submains being relocated to make way for the new build.

Structural Steel is now well into fabrication with the first delivery of steel expected to arrive early May with works commencing shortly after.

 

Upcoming Works for April include;

 

  • In Ground Footings continuing to upper section
  • Civil Infrastructure works (Stormwater)
  • Civil Infrastructure works (Stormwater)
  • Sewer Drainage for Changerooms
  • Existing Changeroom upgrades to commence
  • Footings for new AFL posts

March Project Update

February Project Update

With February a short month, and amongst recent wet weather, the piling platform works are now complete with the piling works wrapping up this week. The piling rig will leave site Monday putting an end to the noisiest portion of works on the project.

The team are back on deck after the Christmas New Year break.

Design is still progressing, whilst on the ground, progress has been made on the piling platform and early civil works, with the driven piling works to commence next week.
