May Project Update

Construction:

The month of May unfortunately saw more unseasonable wet weather fall across the Mackay Region. Despite this works have been progressing well with both Civil Bulk Earthworks and Civil Stormwater nearing completion and all footings for the main building structure complete.
The completion of footings allowed for blockwork to commence on the project ready to accept the new ground slabs starting in June.
This month also saw some exciting delivers for the project with the lower concourse grandstand Structural Steel arriving and no time was wasted in getting this section installed ready for the concrete plat seating which also arrived on site at the end of the month.
Works away from the main building have also been completed with Ergon installing their padmount transformer, conduits run to the main fields centre for stump cam capabilities, AFL posts and netting installed and the existing changerooms refurbished internally.

Upcoming works for June include:

• Ground Slabs to Amenities and North Stand Building
• Blockwork to external structure and Amenities
• Install Concrete Plat Seating
• Commence Upper Concourse Structural Steel
• Commence External Refurbishment of Existing Changerooms
• Begin new Interchange benches
• Scaffold and Formwork to L1 Slab above amenities
• Entry Plaza Deck works to commence near function room
