Barrier Reef Arena precinct is also designed to provide an
outstanding year-round community activity destination.

 

The new green spaces, events facilities and leisure zones are
complemented by five community sports fields and Harrup Park
Country Club’s award-winning dining and entertainment facilities.

The new precinct creates a wonderful new community
gathering place and key Mackay location for markets, festivals,
concerts, performances and exhibitions.

 

Precinct design has a primary focus on providing open green
space and connected walkways, capitalising on natural amenity
and maximising community access at all times of year.

Harrup Park Country Club has established a Project Control Group and Community
Reference Group to guide project delivery in accordance with community expectations.
Regular project updates will be provided via this website and social media pages.
The Club also welcomes feedback and enquiries in relation to the project from
all community members.
